Start your first drive
Open the player on this site and select Play Hop Earth. The official game loads inside the player only after you click, so the guide remains fast before you are ready to drive.
- Wait for the official game screen to finish loading.
- Use the location search to choose a city or recognizable place.
- Follow the in-game prompt to enter the world and summon or select a vehicle.
- Use the driving controls below and begin with a wide, simple road.
Essential keyboard controls
The public Hop.Earth development client documents WASD or arrow-key driving, Shift boost, Enter chat, and Esc for the menu. The live game can change, so treat its current on-screen prompts as the final source of truth.
- W or Up Arrow: accelerate
- S or Down Arrow: brake or reverse
- A/D or Left/Right Arrow: steer
- Shift: stronger acceleration input
- Esc: open or close the menu
A good first route
Start somewhere with long, connected roads and clear intersections. Avoid dense alleys, mountain switchbacks, or complicated junctions until steering and camera movement feel natural.
Set a small objective—reach a bridge, waterfront, park, or nearby landmark—rather than driving without a destination.
If the embedded game does not load
The player uses the official Hop.Earth website in a cross-origin frame. Browser privacy settings, third-party storage rules, extensions, or a future official embed-policy change can affect it.
- Open the official game using the fallback link.
- Try a current desktop browser with hardware acceleration enabled.
- Temporarily disable content-blocking extensions for the game.
- Reload once before clearing any browser data.
